As a vegetarian, when traveling it can be challenging sometimes to find restaurants that I can eat it at. When I was in Cleveland for the weekend one of the restaurants I came across was Vero Pizza Napoletana. This restaurant is known for its authentic wood-fire Neapolitan pizza. This style of pizza is rooted from Naples, Italy.
The interior of the restaurant was open and cohesive, creating this elegant ambience. There is natural lighting, but I went during the night so the lights were a bit dimmer which made the atmosphere a little more chic in my opinion. Its a place where dress up or be casual for bite out. The menu did have a few vegetarian options and I decided to get the quattro formaggio. It was delicious and you can tell their dough was made from scratch. My favorite was the dessert which was the cannoli with pistachios and candied orange. Though I wasn't a big fan on the candied orange, the cannoli was delectable!
If you are planning to visit there in Cleveland keep in mind that it is very popular and busy place located in Cleveland Heights. Reservations are highly recommended to ensure you get to try the experience. Another reason being is because the pizza is made from scratch every single day only make a certain amount dough for the day. With that being said take note because of the type of food and service Vero Pizza provides it is on the expensive side compared to the average neighborhood pizza place. I would suggest to save up and look at the menu ahead of time to get an idea on what to budget for. Until next time — may inspiration meet you where you are!
